A Sibling's Tale Part Two It was early, that much was clear. The first bits of sunlight were managing to slip between the curtains, casting slices of light onto the bed where Diego sat, looking over his sister's sleeping form. Ever since they were children they had shared a bed and now that they were traveling, it saved quite a lot on tavern stays. The isolated human towns liked to charge especially high rates to the two half-breeds. Diego was used to it. His own mother always cracked down on him hard, pushing him, working him to exhaustion. Fair skin and rosy cheeks
A pretty dress colored pretty pink
And those shoes…

And yet she stands all alone

Do you see it?
One ear is half gone
An eye completely missing
But that's normal for a child's toy
Isn't it?
Look closer still.
